pH is a comedy theater in Chicago that has been putting on original comedic work since 2002. Founded by Christian Carranza, Jeff Ford, Jason Geis, Kristine Kitts and Micah Philbrook - pH is seen as the people's improv comedy theater. Their signature shows go beyond the boundaries of the stage and involve the audience in most aspects of the show. pH shows are a fully participatory experience and you will leave most every show having had a hand in its outcome. pH also strives to be an affordable alternative for your entertainment dollar, with most of our shows falling under $10 per ticket.

The name pH (which is the question we get most often), comes from the idea of group chemistry. In science, the pH scale is used to measure how acidic or basic a substance is ‐ this fits our theater perfectly ‐ we have a wide range of performers and shows that all add up to one funny solution.
